HALLOWEEN CAN BE DEADLY
Halloween, the day the ghosts, goblins, and other ghastly creatures roam the earth in the darkness of the night. Evil Spirits slither out form the graveyards as darkness begins to take over the land of the living. But they are not the real dangers. Let me give you a quick guide to understand the real dangers.
Widgets, in my head that make up ‘Me’, have to be able to work together. ‘I’, consciousness, and his crew (perceptual Ant and Bee, scaredy-cat Macho and loving dog Cuddles, logical planning Geru, and patient Turtle and energetic Rabbit) make up the Upper Nature. Dragon, alter ego, and his survival gang (deceptive Spiedie, selfish and addictive Raccoon, blaming Crow, and aggressive Coyote) make up the Lower Survival Mode. When the Upper Nature is dominant there is truly a pot of gold, pleasure, at the ends of the rainbow of life.
If the lower nature sees a bad situation it can become dominant so it can get you out of danger, but if the Lower Nature sees false dangers, then the Lower Nature will make decisions that interfere with the Upper Nature of others and situations that only cause drama. ‘I’ can get intimidated, the Me widgets will begin to shut down, and Myself gets upset or agitated. The gold, pleasure, for the Upper Nature is gone and the actions taken by the Lower Nature feels like a VOID.
This can lead to total depression and everything shuts down and all of life seems like THE VOID. ‘Myself’ feels depressed, anxious, and helpless.
Our towns have different agencies or institutions that tend to be run by people with certain widgets that are dominant. If they are fair and equitable and pleasant, using the Upper Nature, then all is fine. But if the Lower Nature takes over any of them, again, life seems like the THE VOID. In our story the Upper or Lower Nature of the town is ran by the parents of our eight hero kids. They learn that Halloween is not just a kid’s game but invisible monster widgets can run the town, they are the accumulation of the widgets of people who support the agencies or institutions.
Children, innocent of the evil, joyfully chatter as they dress in costumes preparing to descend on the little town threatening to trick if not given a treat. This ancient ritual of extortion in decades past would topple out-houses or kids would throw white flower in the faces that refused to treat, turning them into ghostly figures. Adults in the houses maul over the candy they have gotten to keep the trick-or-treaters at bay.
Little do they know that Halloween is a deception, the ghosts and the goblins are diminutive compared to the real monsters that mock the efforts of candy being given out as fun. The void can creep in and trash everyones’ fun. The Children In Our Story will soon find out.
Our short story begins with an innocent act of pure love. Larry and the gang are taking BJ, his little sister, trick-or-treating. Larry lives with his Dad and BJ with her Mother.
Little did the eight hero’s realize evil preys on the innocent.
The journey started out as an ordinary trick-or-treat adventure. They went to a few houses with other kids around. Everything went well then all the other kids left, a cold chill blew in, evil seemed to be all around them, they felt hopeless, they could feel the evil VOID.
When our institutions become deceptive, greedy, don’t take responsibility, and put the blame onto others, and make things that hurt people, then their dragon comes out to stir up and brew up monsters that hurt others.
These monsters are invisible, only on Halloween day do they becomes visible as giant widgets and Dragon. Dragon summons the other widgets to openly ravish the little town to mock the efforts of candy to prevent tricks, tricks they invisibly do all year around. Most days they are much more destructive. Their presence is usually only felt by The Void, that dull empty feeling inside, The Void like a deadly virus spreading form the gut, spreading though out the body, taking away satisfaction and, leaving a pervading feeling of meaninglessness and coldness.
The void depresses and stirs up anxieties in the citizens when the invisible monsters devour the town of homes, farms, group games, business, jobs, and relationships. It enslaves them into a void where only its’ entertainment of deception, lies, blaming, and addictions can satisfy them , they are then owned and enslaved by the Monsters.
Then it seems like only in dreams and legends did people built their own homes, plant plush gardens, play music together, sing, and dance. They were happy and felt loved surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. The monsters even stole their meaningful relationships. People then feel alone.
Tonight It descends from the heavens covering the town with a chill devoid of hope, happiness, and peace of mind.
The kids heard a whooshing sound and spied Dragon and his gang in the sky as they screamed over BJ. She shivered with fear. The gruel came down in a swell sweep singeing the tops of their hair. All the hair on their bodies stood up. What does this evil goblin want? The cold breeze chilled our eight little heres. The ghostly screaming voice from Dragon spewed out doomsday words. “We are here to take BJ. You can not stop us. HA HA HA HA HA HA.” Molly grabbed BJ and held on tightly. They felt they were doomed and they would loose BJ to the evil spirit. But…..wait, not all is hopeless.
Remember, there are good widgets in the town. When Establishments are fair and care about the people their spirits rise up and the ‘I’, town consciousness, can summons up it’s Upper Nature crew to be ready to spread hope and the pleasures of life. The town widgets inform people what is happening in their town, help solve emotional problems and keep fears low, teach and help people learn how to live to the fullest, and make laws and courts to help everyone be treated fairly.
There are a lot of Upper Nature watchful eyes that keep Halloween safe. Without them we would be at the mercy of the Lower Natures of individuals and Towns.
Sounds like just another fairy tale. disappointing even. But do you want to be the happy or the depressed person? Which institutions and shops, and what they stand for or do, depends on you, if you buy their products or not.
By the way, who made the candy you buy? Sugar additives and excitotoxic chemicals prime children for future addictions. Be careful that you don’t allow treats to be tricks.
Was BJ taken, what do the hero’s do to stop it. How do others summons up their widgets to live in their Upper Natures their shops. How does Grandma, Grandpa, their parents, their Cuz keep themselves and their relationships in the Upper Nature. How do widgets make up different personalities, how do they interact with each other at the widget level. All these and other issues are being being hashed over and explained at Psychotoons.org.
