Psychotoons is designed to help you get a better feel for psychological thought. This is for fun and not intended to be a psychological theory or therapy that is concrete, totally serious, or the only or best theory. It is not talking for everyone in the field. At the bottom of all sciences is philosophy. Every scientist, being an individuals, has a different philosophy that varies from others. But in general psychologists try to understand human perception, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. They look for underlying patterns that can be from genetics, emotional experiences, beliefs, and situations. All these factors affect our personalities. There are as many different personalities as there are humans now, in the past, and in the future. But by looking at repeating or common traits that a majority of people have we begin to see more common patterns in how most people perceive reality, feel about reality, think about reality, and act in the real or imaginary worlds. If we label them normal and see how they order their lives to be happy and social we can begin to see how people, who have quite different patterns that disorganize their lives, and begin to label them by naming their variations, such as psychotic, bi-polar, mood disorders, etc. There are so so many factors involved in how a person perceives, feels, thinks, and acts that we can never say with as much certainty as the physical sciences the reason for individual differences in personality disorders or normal personalities. At its best it is a guessing game. What Psychotoons trys to do is help you see some common patterns not only in perception, emotions, thoughts, or actions but how these four groupings interact to create different personas. You can explore your self and others using these over simplified principles but just remember this is not rocket science. In psychology all people are viewed with dignity. All people are seen as doing what they think is right for the time and moment and if it does not work well it is only human ignorance why we do not do what works best for selves and others. The basic philosophies of psychology are fairness to all and wanting to help all people be able to meet their full potential to help all of society so the same, one for all and all for one.
