HOW TO BUILD TRUST
How is trust built in a relationship? The whole Upper Nature: Perception, Emotions, Understanding, and Action have to be primed and involved in building trust. And we need to subdue the Lower Nature of lies, greed, blaming, and aggression unless it is really needed for survival. Trust is basically the ability to predict the other person’s perceptions, emotions, thoughts, and consequent actions.
Edgar and Ragde
Edgar’s pets are an Ant and a Bee. Ragde’s pet is a spider. The fathers of Edgar and Ragde are news commentators. Edgar’s and his Dad’s dominant widgets are Ant and her details, and Bee’s love of patterns that help predict dynamics. But Ragde’s and his Dad’s dominant widget is Spiedie, who likes to deceive others.
The majority of people want their news to be in details and facts. But some want their news in the form of opinions that can bring them fear but can give a hopeful solutions, even though they are still opinions or fantasy.
Molly and Charlette
Molly’s pets are a Macho a scary cat and Cuddles a loving dog. The dominant widgets of Molly and her Mother is Macho and Cuddles. Charlette’s pet is selfish Raccoon. Her and her mother’s dominant widgets is Raccoon.
Molly’s mother is a counselor and as such she can only report imminent danger and for Child Protective Services it has to be the parent where the child lives. Charlette’s parents could ask people to pressure Larry’s Dad to be a fair and good parent. But Larry’s Dad is the richest and most influential person in the town. They do not want to anger him for fear of retaliation.
Sue and Destiny
Sue’s pet is Geru, the blue bird that can fly high and see the bird’s eye view of the situations. Her and her parents dominant widget is Geru. Her father is a preacher and her mother a public school teacher. They both look for philosophical and or scientific models to explain human dynamics, prediction, and solutions.

Sue’s dad does not want to loose his congregation by being political against Larry’s Dad. Her mom as a teacher can not be political.
George’s Pets are patient Turtle and an energetic Rabbit. He and his father’s dominant widgets are Turtle and Rabbit. They help them to be patient, so they can stop and think before they leap with energy in acting. Larry’s pet is a Coyote. He and his father’s dominant widget is aggressive Coyote. They tend to be too aggressive. His father is the richest and most powerful man in the town. He runs the factories and gangs that make and sell gadgets.
George’s father can not go against Larry’s dad unless the community is behind him. We are influenced by society that may want our obedience to them to come before individual relationships. How many men in groups, like the Taliban, have told other men to ignore their wives or to beat them. How many groups of women have done similar things in the name of feminism, ignore their husbands or to leave them. These groups pressure others to conform to their ideas rather than try to help relationships to negotiate and find better solutions. Industries can benefit from divorces, more housing, more appliances, more loyalty to their jobs without a family. Groups often do not understand individual relationships and individuals often do not understand the group and the groups personality, fantasies, or greed to use others.
People need to research events and concepts to perceive the environment and each other better. People need empath as a guide to know each other. People need to have workable philosophies and bodies of scientific research to better understand each other. And people need to get together and try different things to see what works.
